Over the years I have learned to adapt to the ever evolving market and enjoy balancing new solutions with the tried and tested. I thrive on the constant challenge of ensuring that projects are commercially viable and provide a good return on investment.
With a marketing background, Alison has a number of years experience working across a variety of roles within medical communications, delivering projects from the traditional, to more innovative digital solutions. Before Bamboo, she worked as a business unit director, where she not only ran a successful team, but led the digital output for the organisation.
I believe that considered innovation is key when exploring digital solutions. The first priority is meeting the project objectives and I am very passionate about seeing each project through to the end with the best possible result.
Emily joined the medical communications industry in 2007. Emily's ability to run large projects calmly and effectively quickly became apparent as did her ability to produce excellent results with very little support. Organising large meetings has been a speciality of Emily's where her skills in speaker liaison, delegate recruitment, approval processing and venue control have won her constant praise from clients, KOLs and colleagues.
The best bit about working in medical communications for me is developing relationships that become lasting partnerships for our clients and HCPs. I love the challenge of helping clients come up with new innovative ways of getting closer to customers.
Tess has a wealth of experience in Medical Communications through working in almost all areas of the industry. Having started her medical career working in publications she gained experience both agency-side and in-house, working her way to Head of PR at Schering Healthcare. Tess went on to join some large PR agencies in London before turning to medical education and broader communications based roles.
As soon as you start to get complacent in understanding our environment everything changes! I'm a firm believer that working in a small dynamic team allows us to stay on our toes and keep ahead when addressing new challenges.
Tim started in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales rep, progressing through the ranks in South Africa, Canada, the US and the UK. In 2001 Tim set up his own independent medical communications agency which was acquired by a large multidisciplinary marketing agency after 7 years. He was then appointed MD of the Health group covering traditional medical communications, advertising, medical devices and a specialised digital business unit. Tim and his family then took a 2 year sabbatical where they sailed around the world on a 40 ft catamaran!
On his return to the UK, Tim joined the already established team as one of the founding members of Bamboo Medical Communications. It would be hard to find a therapeutic area he has not worked in and as one would imagine, he has gained volumes of pre-launch and launch experience.
I love being back in medical comms and seeing the excellence Bamboo brings to projects large or small. The ability we have to respond to clients’ needs no matter what time of day or night, with top quality results, is rarely seen in today’s market place.
